Check the various entries and photo montages in the Sweden - Milsurp Knowledge Library (click here)

Pics sure would help us a lot ..

Anyway, does it look like this?

1899 M38B (M96/38) Swedish Mauser Short Rifle (Mfg by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori) ..... (click here)

    ... or this?

1907 m94/14 Swedish Carbine (Mfg by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori) ..... (click here)

    The M96/38 has a 23" barrel, whereas the m94/14 has roughly a 17" barrel.

Post pics, or if you don't know how, email them to me and I'll post them for you.

    Regards,
    Badger

Badger...Thanks for the quick reply re my new Swede and my search for the upper wood. I believe it to be a m94-14, based on it's overall length which is 37" and the BBL is 17".

The receiver is stamped with an import mark of "Interarmco 33/50 "
the left side of the receiver is stamped with the inspector "HK" and the S/N is 103xxx.

    Thanks in avance
    and I love this site

    You're welcome Bob ...

To confirm, just click on the link above to our Knowledge Libraryicon entry of the m94/14 carbine and compare yours against the photo montage.

Finding that wood may be a challenge ...

If you post a WTB (Want to Buy) ad for it, use a pic from the MKLicon entry to show potential sellers what you're looking for...

    Regards,
    Badger
