That wasn't the worst I'd been called......... When I first joined the Army as a boy soldier/apprentice, for the first 2 years, I thought my name was '...Oi, shuddup.....'. In Australiaicon (I've said this many times.....) I was called Pete the Pom by the whole workshops and most of the Battalion.. After 2 1/2 years, the wife of the workshop Major (she was a pom too....) asked me if it offended me. I said '.....bloody hell Marlene, it's been me for 2 1/2 years and even if it did (it didn't in the slightest...) it's too bloody late now!
