Hey OxfordAndy,
Does dropping a bayonet point down on my bare foot yesterday count for the Scar Club?

Pattern14, I think that would have to be a sub-section.
Maybe "Friends of the CSRSC"?

Hope it wasn't a cruciform or sawback!!!

I did that with a Mosin Nagat bayonet. Luckily, it hit my calf before hitting my foot and my calf was cut rather than a hole in my foot.
I've never hit myself with either a rifle or a scope. I have watched people do it. Gave a friend of mine my 14 year old daughter's 356 Winchester to shoot and he whacked himself pretty good. My daughter had no problems at all adjusting to that from a 243. First time my friend ever fired a high power rifle before. I don't think he had it tight on his shoulder, he seemed to concur. Tried it again with it tight and didn't have any trouble.
Worst thing I ever saw from recoil was my fathers attempt to shoot a long barreled 10 gauge goose gun. He shot it three times, vowed never to do it again, went in the house took off his shirt and had a bruise the size of a basketball all around his shoulder.

That's still an "OUCH!"
