What is unique is that we can shoot at a river (TN Valley Auth.) on the edge of this city: blast anything we throw in! But the only actual target shooting at the range that has interested me began with this first Garand, as I have not tried my Enfields (#4, #5) past 50 yards. With the nice Yugo
Mauser, forget it-very little luck with those sights.
It is embarassing to be in my 50s and only learning anything about guns (frequent plinking) for the last three years, mostly alone on days off. Limited progress with 'skills', except for reading websites.
A seasoned range buddy has recently provided very good instruction, and a coworker who retired from the Navy Marks. Team set records with his iron sight AR at both 200 and 600 yards. Somehow this Garand motivates me to acquire some real iron sight skills.Information
