    I've narrowed those down a bit more BP. Mine is a 1940 C-3441. I'll send them to you when I transfer the disc to this new computer..., when!

    There were no changes from start of production to the first intermediates

    Thanks Peter, that narrows the the 39 to 40 gap down to less than 200. I have noticed one diffrence in the 1938 guns, its a very small detail but the earlier 38 I've observed (Which isnt many for obvious reasons) guns have a larger A prefix than the numbers. This may be just a occasional oversight but I've observed about 6 guns with a serial no higher than A3695 where the A was slightly larger than the later guns and it may not be obvous untill its compared to a later serial number. This obviously dosn't help when the serial number has been removed!
