    Limpetmine, does that mean you can travel to a gunshow in a different state, buy a C&R firearm and bring it back with you? I did wonder about that.

    Absolutely, yes. That was one of the reasons given in 1968 when the GCAicon was passed, for allowing collectors to continue collecting. Prior to that, anyone could buy and sell, even mail order, no problems. Now, if you live in NJ, it seems their local laws trump federal (figure that out), so know your state laws, too.
