Why does the seller want so much for those mags

Thank you. You cleared that up for me. I never thought about rimmed versus non rimmed mags. I will remember that. Also that metal bren box in that closed auction is just like mine.

Any idea about the markings on my Bren mags? Also, is there anyway the quickly ID the other mags we were talking about? I see a lot of unknown mags in some of the rural auctions I go to.

Any idea about the markings on my Bren mags?

II*, M/117 = Mark 2 (modified) magazine shell made by Hercules Cycle & Motor Company Ltd.
I*JI = Mark 1 (modified) magazine top plate made by John Inglis of Toronto Canada.

I too would like to see a 'master list' of Bren magazine manufacturers and markings, if such a thing exists.

PS. I'm still after an 'HCM' marked magazine top plate.

£25 is a good price, some dealers are asking £30-£35 at the moment.

It was at Stoneleigh and only one dealer there had any. It was sort of purchased as a 'memento' of the L4A4 or L4A3 I doubt I will ever own. I also purchased a Sterling magazine for the same slightly sentimental reason.

I shall be going again this Sunday with a friend who's after a reasonable deact Bren and wants to get one before the prices go berserk.
