Oh bearhunter you know me so well. I will have to send Brian a pm and get a price. Wish there was one in Canada, just easier to get rather than have to do the import thing.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

I purchased UF.55 A14963 at our gun club swap meet today. Unwrapped, but like new, possibly unfired, a CAI import. All matching blonde, #2 bolt head, 'S' stock. Paid the asking price of $300, me thinks a fair deal? Cheers, Don

Yes it was a decent price, I notice Lee Enfields are really going up in price here in Canada and other than rare ones probably not those kind of increases in the USA. It is unfortunate so many in the US are import marked, doesn't make a big difference but would rather have non import marked personally.

Import marks, are historical. They are a fact of life and there is little or nothing we can do about it. Mostly, it is just an irritant placed upon private firearms owners around the world by the international criminal org, called the United Nations. The countries that might really benefit from such markings, will never enforce the ruling. It's pretty much like everything else that comes out of the UN, all BS and bluster. What a colossal joke on the world it's proving itself to be.
I don't like the marks but as mentioned above, it's just part of the history of civilisation of the firearm. Similar to the "ENGLAND" stamp on the receiver of a Lee Enfield or the two broad arrows pointing at each other to designate sold out of service. Just a little more modern.

No problem Brian, If the other Don doesn't send you your commission I have a few ZL left over from my last trip to Poland so will throw them in the mail for you....I am sure there will be enough for a cup of coffee, maybe not the way prices are going up over there.

You're all heart Don! I hope I make that show. Time will tell. By the way, I bought two of those Mk.2's at SAR West last December, one still wrapped and the other like yours. I paid considerably more than you did for them. One's going to Australia! Enjoy the good deal. They're getting farther and fewer between.
