The machined sight guard on my Long Branch has a .025 gap between it and the sight block with the guard screw threads bottomed out. the trigger guard will rotate that .025 even when tight. It doesn't hurt the rifle functionally and If I didn't know about it I probably wouldn't notice it but It annoys me just a bit.
I am using a screw I got from Springfield Sporters that was ordered as a sight guard screw. Is there a difference between the sight guard screw and the rear trigger guard screw? Could I be using a trigger guard screw or are they the same?
Thank you for your time
