Thanks Dave and saddler. Dave, I was under the impression that the Garandicon belt was used with the suspenders just like the pistol belt. In some of the accounts I read the GIs stated they carried their Garand ammo in bandoleers yet kept the ammo belt to hang their canteen, etc on. So I began to wonder if the ammo belt was issued to carbine carriers of if they issued a pistol belt?

Saddler, the "Baby" books are on my list but they have gotten really expensive.
