    It does look like a sct regt scope case. Is it made oval or has it been flattened some how?
    Here's my sct case to at least compare what it's the photo. I'm away from it for awhile so can't take any more photos or measurements.
    Maybe some one will post their's along with the measurements, Ray

    My case sure looks like a scout regiment case after seeing yours, if nothing else it looks like my case was at least made by the same manufacturer? Even if I could identify the country It orginated from. This case has no markings at all on it.

    The Scout Regiment Telescope out of the 1971 L42A1 Enfield Sniper Rifle in the MKLicon is marked ...

    Ah - the pics made it look round...

    The style of sewing & the leather covered buckles, plus the overall feel makes me say its Britishicon...

    I'll have to check my notes against the dimensions you added - but it may be a Pattern '18 scope case
