Mk 1, Mk 1* SMLE?
Or possibly from a 1902 troop trials job. According to Skennerton
's book, there are only 2 of these rifles in original condition, the rest got converted to .22RF trainers. Might be a few stray bolt heads lying around.
BTW, I recently saw a small box of .22RF bolt heads. At least two seemed to be from the 1914 Patt. No1 or similar, as they had the "safety notch" and charger guide as per the photo, but were fitted with an offset rim-fire striker. The owner is hanging on to them.

Dang, I need one of those, or similar, for an SMLE Mk.1*. No charger loading without it!

I had a spare bolt head for my Patt14 No1 too. Got it because mine had the offset firing pin hole was opposite the extractor claw. With the little bit of clearance/ wear in everything, the extractor was pulling the bolthead to the right on the base of the chambered RF case, making the striker hit inside the rim and not ignite! Took ages to work that out. Sold the spare to a gent in Canada
(many years ago) because it didn't work either, and he needed it...
RangeRover- your bolthead is for the Sht LE Mk1 (and conversions to and from) line of rifles made from 1903 to 1907.

Probably a long shot....
I know this is probably a long shot, but I was just wondering if you still had this part. This is exactly what I need. If you still have this, please let me know, and maybe we can make a deal.
Thanks!

Hmmm... Enfield-marked, but I don't have a CLLE.
Maybe I should consider this the bit around which I can build a CLLE. How many other parts do I need, really.
