Rockola 4.58
Picked up this ROCKOLA off of an Auction last week. Finally got me a Rockola. It's a solid piece and a good start. Needs a few items, but at least I got one, and they aint getting any cheaper. I too became a contributing member, very small sacrifice to be able to get on here and argue with people about Carbines....LOL. The Rock has got a very nice and unusual grain WRA stock. I cleaned it up and put a couple of coats of 50/50 mineral spirits and BLO, after cleaning it real good with Murphy's Oil Soap. What do you think?

Rusty, nice Rock-Ola. Congrats on finally getting one. Is that a crack/split in the right rail above the safety? What does it have for a TH, bolt etc?
Anyway glad you got it!!.....Frank

Frank,
It's all Rockola except for the mag catch and safety, and the crack is just superficial-not all the way through, more of a splinter if that makes sense. It has a flat bolt, I think it might need a round one though. In the area of mixed use, same with the trigger Housing, may need brazed stamped instead of milled. Still studying.

It's a beauty, Rusty. I would rub in a thin coat of Raw linseed oil on the stock and handguard, let it sit for 24 hours and repeat. It looks thirsty to me. I'm still looking for a Rock too! Regards, Rick.

Very nice carbine you picked up. It sure has a nice finish to the metal. Congratulations!
