Thanks Peter! King William College CADET FORCE, I didn't know the full designation and really only took an educated guess at what KWC meant.

Cadet Force is not quite what it would have been called. Prior to the Second World War, it would have been the Officer Training Corps. Post WWII it will have been the Combined Cadet Force or CCF. I speak as a former member of the CCF - but not that one.
