    Buy the gun not the story. Personally I don't believe it.If that were my dad that brought the rifle back and it had been in the family all these years I surely would'nt sell it for a measily $350. In fact, Bill Gates would'nt have enough money to buy it. BTW, a byf 43 should have waffenampt 135, a laminated stock and IIRC a cupped butt plate.

    After looking closer at the picture of the top of the reciever it is marked 135 byf thanks for pointing that out! Mauser k98 byf 1943 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
    now I know what rear sight I need to get!.

    question for the pro's, what manufacture sling is this? it was given to me with the mauser I bought all I can see is made in germany I dont think it is a mauser k98 sling any help would be great! thanks guys.
