Quantrill, The N^Z mark merely means that the rifle was in New Zealand
Service, they didn't manufacture any of the Enfields.

So does that mean part of the rifle was made in NZ and part was made in Canada
? Or does NZ mean it was issued to someone in New Zealand
?
NZ accepted a large contract on LB 4's mid ww2. When they were sold off in the 70's a perfectly new one could be had for $20. Invariably they have really nice dark wood, and are a nice looking rifle.

I would just like to formally thank dieppe42 for sending me a new butt plate. The Enfield looks so much better now!
