    We've got two and still use a slightly later variant to test rifles. Every telescope I repair is fired from a slave rifle from an Enfield rest to test it for 'fastness'. The rest removes the human element so you just see the perormance of the rifle. It's quite gratifying when someone comes complaining that the rifle shoots like a pig. Once on the rest, it seems to shoot like a dream and is as accurate as the best. A useful bit of kit
