Aust Patt 1918 Scope....need some grub screws.....

    Gents.
can somebody tell me what I need or where to get a couple of screws.

I need to have the 3 screws that are equally spaced under the sunshade to lock the front lenses together.

Additionally I need the single screw that holds the elevation drum down onto the graticule post.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers
    Daniel

I think I can dig up the sizes, I think the ones under the sunshade are 9BA (brass, CSK), but I'll need to dig for the other ones. I needed 2 for mine a while ago, and ended up making them... horrible.

I seem to remember recutting those threads to use 8BA's in the past. These scopes are not my forte - beyond being a simple optical instrument - so would suggest one of the local repairers. Cheaper too as I understand it

Just had my scope apart, and now back together. With help from Hugh (valleysniper). All I can say is how much I enjoyed the technical challenge and marveled at the workmanship and exacting tolerances of this beautiful piece of optical equipment. Don't think there's many people out there that can say they've striped and serviced a HT Scope, love this hobby (addiction) and learning all the time with the help and assistance of those who share their vast knowledge.
