Bit beyond most peoples budget I would say, So has anyone got a drawing of the mag?

Hmm it seems on the face of it like it should be simple to engineer something. I'm at the Reno gun show this weekend, I'll try to buy a couple of 5 round .22LR mags and see what can be cobbled together heath robinson / mcgyver styley whihc may stand a chance of working.

Getting a mag to work would be part of it but I think you'd need to make a new extractor that grips the cartridge tighter than the standard one in a No.2 rifle. Then there's ejection to think about...

I found a mag that fits inside a NO.1 Mag shell. I'm toying with the idea of trimming the fron edge of the insert mag and having an extended follower so that as the shell is pushed up and into the chamber the follower is then pushed down below the bolt head as it slides forward. This might then also act as an ejection device??? Wife away this weekend and will have some time in the man cave to tinker. Watch this space.

I wouldn't keep looking martins. I was following the thread too, wondering what orbitory planet a lot of the contributors were living on. Do you REALLY think that the mechanism of the BSA No7 would have been so mechanically complicated and expensive if such a project were so simple? Nope, me neither
