    11-276 Garand Picture of the Day



    Three Jap snipers elected to shoot it out during the battle for Leyte Island. Yankee bullets drilled the Japs and dropped them in a the muddy water of a bomb crater, where they sought shelter in a running rifle fight. 1944. PhoM1c. Harry R. Watson. (Coast Guard)

    But one that should be posted..that being said it's brings back memories of my two years in Viet Nam. I don't know if I should be glad I saw it....or sad I saw it.

    What I can say is the the commentary thus far has missed the point of the photo.
