Try putting the barreled receiver into the forend (no screws), and see if there is any movement possible front to back (of the receiver/barrel in the forend). Also when you pull up on the muzzle of the barrel (also no screws holding it in), holding the forend, does the receiver pull out of it's seating, ie. is it loose when you do this? These are both indicators that the draws are stuffed. Also is the muzzle bearing as it should at the forend tip with the specified downward pressure, centrally?
Trigger pull can't be adjusted until the rifle is bedded in the forend, as changes to the bedding may effect the pull.
The draws likely have been replaced. See this article for the details: Milsurps - Worn draws in your No1, 4 or 5 fore-end .... (by Peter Laidler)
In Peter Laidler's articles, there are detailed instructions for forend fitting, but you're probably going to be better off sending to Brian Dickicon (BDLLtd) to have it done because it is very difficult and you'll likely ruin your forend on the first few tries at it. http://photos.imageevent.com/badgerd...0correctly.pdf
Either way, the best of luck with it.
