    Thunderbox is right about describing fore-end fitting using words only..... or ANY fitting now that I think of it. Our instructors used to set us homework to describe one part of fitting a fore-end or a sear etc etc JUST to see whether we described it a) accurately and b) with absolutely no ambiguity whatsoever. Try describing bolthead overturn in words alone!

    It was a bit like describing a spiral staircase without using your hands!!!!!!!!
