My friend purchased the Enforcer in the sale, which will need a bit of tender loving care to bring back to original spec.

Any one got a Pecar 4-10 x 45 for sale if so I can put you in contact as he is now looking for one for this rifle.

They have turned up semi-frequently at the same auction house and generally make £200-£400 depending on condition.
Tell him to make sure it has the correct graticule (for an Enforcer) as they are very hard to find and are generally £100+.
If he needs to know which graticule to get tell him to email me (he has my details)

Not all Enforcers were supplied to the Police with a scope - it depended on the state of the Forces budget at the time - a Scope would be added later out of next years budget. The local POlice Armourer would source whatever type of scope he wanted and was not forced to use a Pecar 4-10. I have seen Enforcers with very strange scopes on them with full provenance attached to them

It was a little 'rough' in areas and I'm not 100% convinced that the Police fitted accessory rails - he will also need a PH5E/4 rear sight as that was missing as well. Tell him to ensure it is a PH 5E/4 and not a PH5E as the 5E is for a mauser action.
Dont try a PH5C as it wont fit - it fouls the scope rings.

I bet he thought he was on to a 'winner' when the hammer first went down, then the auctioneer 're-auctioned' it as he had 'missed' a bidder - then it made more than twice the price.
I spoke to him after the auction and have been in touch by Email since - nice chap.

Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

I think there is a bit of a cartel operating at that auction site; I twice lost lots due to my bid being ignored and the lots being knocked down to someone else - even though in each case I'd had several bids acknowledged and was still clearly holding up my card....

I,ve seen this the few times I have been there and am sure Alan has witnessed it also, what one would call a one horse race.....

As for the No1 MkV, serial No A65, will reserve comment as yet but highly recomend Simon P (PM on the way) returns it to Scotarms ASAP for a refund, take it from me its not original, as I know where it come from and was in my possesion and on my books for a day, until it was returned to the dealer I purchased it from, I lost a few quid on that because the dealer wouldnt do a pick up, as I dont buy and sell dont have an account with TNT so a one off cost over £60 to return it.
(Its No one on this forum so need for concern here)

Like I said earlier its the last place I,d off load some nice items, and I dont think these are coming fom a collecton of a collector, more a dealer trying to offload some items that have been on the shelf too long and have done a few too many miles in the back of a TNT van.

I got to look at A65 on Saturday, the only original parts are the Action & Bolt and possibly the rear sight & front nose cap barrel band.

It is what it is a useable example "but not that original" of a No1 MkV.
    Regards Simon

Rear sight is a repro, and to be honest I never even clocked the barrel band as it was packed back up in the space of minutes and returned as it was sold to me as an original.......

As you say it is a usable No1 MkV, and I guess he could move it on if an original comes up.

I was hoping to get some pics up of the one I imported earlier this year but trying to get over a bad cold which landed on me at the weekend, my nose and eyes have just stopped running enough to be able type this up.

He has an outstanding small bore Enfield collection, probably the best in the UKicon, with many examples of rare trials rifles, he only went to the auction for the No7 Magazine!!!
