They do take a little finesse but make a great low profile mount.



For my ARMS 18 install I did not go to full torque on the side until I had all three points making snug contact. I get the rear in the dovetail and line up the side. Then I made the side point not quite finger tight. If it rocks fore and aft you need to experiment with the front pad height by adjusting it up and down.

One the play is out fore and aft, I tighten the side screw a little more ( not fully). Then go back and check the front pad to see if it is there is any slack to take out. Check the back as well. Finaly more torque in the side screw. 15 inch lbs I think.

Once that ARMS mount is on right, there is no real need to take it off.
