Don't throw the slider away. If it's GI the slider can migrate onto a sling that may be marked 44 or later. The sliders are the hard part to find because I think the thin sliders broke. Thus the ones with heavier metal.

My point about the coarse weave is I thought I had come across a trove of old sliders but after examination I found them to be Danishicon made. The slings are different material.
