If we just let those who like to instigate go unanswered, yes!
Save a lot of bother. I'm done for now, having issued the caution, but if it goes on for some time...

Here's a thought, what if there was some Noob, maybe not the sharpest of knives in the drawer fellow whom just got his 1st Lee Enfield and was trying to, I dunno, learn something or investigate a potential anomaly, and some pecker head put out some wrong info as a not so obvious joke which lead to some noob getting hurt.

If you are referring to a specific post then please provide a reference.
If it's a general, non-specific comment, then you have to be aware that are plenty of conflicting views on the internet and the conclusions drawn are the responsibility of the reader.
If this thread continues to go off-topic, it will be closed.

Hey there JM. We might be able to market that thar rifle! As for broken glasses from a recoiling cocking piece, I think maybe those folks could use some marksmanship training on how to hold and shoot a rifle. I've seen quite a few case failures and have NEVER seen any kind of catostrophic failure with a LE of any description. That's in 35 years or so of reloading and shooting them. Of course, I've always been a quality not quantity reloader. Brian

As I clearly said, Peter, the thread would be closed if it keeps going off-topic. No one here closes threads for no reason.
Relevant info is welcomed.

I,ll second that, Think hand load involves most or all failures in any rifle, or an obstruction in the barrel, which was noted at a last club meeting on a local range, one of the lads had just finished his ten rounds, the last shot was not recorded on the target, he decided to clean the rifle behind the point and found the last bullet lodged in the barrel, very lucky and only by chance he decided to clean it.
(rifle was a No4 .303, and was using hand loads !! )
