a TE of 3 is very good for a used issue Garand, most new barrels have TE's of between 2 and 3, that barrel has ALOT of life left in it. ME of 3 also isnt that bad, thats actually pretty tight considering the only way to clean the barrel is from the muzzle and all of its cleaning was done with a sectioned military cleaning rod throughout its life.
Also remember that every Dane was returned without a bolt in it. All the DanishGarands had their bolts removed by the Danes before shipment and bolts installed by the CMP
armorers when they were re-assembled, then headspace was checked and they were test fired. The Danes also had Garands made by Breda and Baretta in their inventories so there are parts from all of the American and Continental producers on the Dane returns.
Looks like a nice rifle. I'd love to find another Dane for my collection
