    THe england mark is most likley the US import stamp whcih said all items had to have their point of origina marked on them, luckily this practice didnt last long as it usually devalues the item big time. I ahve several blades with simialr marks, as i colelct then as i find them as long as th eprice isnt bad. never seen a No7 though

    Import markings did not go away on firearms, they were simply replaced with something else. The 1968 GCAicon requires the importers name & address.
