I've just purchased the remains of an '07 quillon bayonet & need some advice. Back in the 60s it was common to put things into a clear compound & make paper-weights of them. I thought this might be a good idea for this relic as it would stop bits flaking off & preserve it longer. Can anyone tell me what the process is called & what are the feelings about preserving this way or leaving it bare for the "touchy feely" factor?Information
