    Great photo's. Thank you for your post. I've been hunting a little while for detailed pictures of the P14 stock for my own resto project and until tonight, came up dry.

    Some of the pieces I will have to make myself, as I have no sources. Your pictures will aid greatly.

    that is a nice stock but it is not a p14 stock[ m1917]--charles

    How do you tell the difference between the P14 and M17 stocks? I'm a real newbie to the pattern rifles.

    The things I did notice as "missing" on the above rifle compared to my own rifle were the missing volley sight gauge on the side, and the brass button on the butt.

    Can anyone please tell me the significance of the brass button?

    wheelie,yor not hy-jacking. volly sight,marking disc are the main difrence .--charles
