to answer (some of) your questions;
certain guns can be brought over with paperwork for hunting as a tourist and you can own certain firearms when you live here as a canadian citizen.

You cannot just , "move to Canada". You can visit for a period of time, assuming you are admittable. A DUI can be a game stopper. To work, you need a visa or work permit. NAFTA visa is available if you have a degree or profession on the list and a job offer. Becoming a citizen is much more complex. Google Canadian Immigration. Dual citizenship is permitted, with some caveats. I do not want to crap on your ambition, but what you are proposing is much more difficult than it might appear.
