I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one Alan, PM me if you don't want to put them in the public domain.
Cheers,
Simon.
During the research for my proposed Enforcer book(let) I have come across many examples of 'suspect' information from the various Police Forces - some have been honest and say they do not have the information, others deny having ever been issued with Enforcers, whilst others (D&C in particular) claim they have been destroyed but we know that some of them are still in existance.
PM sent with some unverifiable thoughts / information
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

Just as a matter of interest, does anyone out there own L42 rifle M or N 33? (possibly 9) 23. That is M or N 33923
If so, it could be a famous one. Or at least 'sort of' famous anyway!

Patper,
You need to double check the serial number!!
A89375 does not appear on the conversion data, however AP9375 does and the data records that it was part of batch number 48 which consisted of 40 weapons. The recorded conversion date for AP9375 is 30th December 1971.
Cheers,
Simon.
P.S. It was sent straight to store at Donnington.
