    It was designed to use a cratridge case, IN THE FIELD. They didn't care about marring the screw during a war.

    If you are worried about marring the screw on the band, you might consider buying a good screwdriver tip set. Using the correct size tip will keep you from putting marks on the head of the screw.

    But hey, who cares. You can find replacement band screws all over the place, right?
