    The sling is a Finnishicon 1930s Civil Guard example - technically correct for an M39 as the Finns used whatever slings they had on hand. Here's a few slings that would be more correct...

    Green M39 sling with rectangular buckle





    Green M39 sling with oval buckle (oval buckle reused from older sling)

    There are a few variations of these...

    But seeing as your rifle wears a post-war stock, one of these is also appropriate..

    Post War Grey M39 sling with rectangular buckle





    In fact, you could even put a Finnish issued Carcano sling on it.....





    .....because we have photographic evidence of at least one Finnish soldier with a Carcano sling on his M39...
