Charlie, can you post a close-up of the one that looks like the one I have? To me, the pattern doesn't look the same.

Your's looks more like the link in post 2 that ww321q linked to the ones being offered by 'George'.

I still wonder if these were some type of WWII/Post War replacement made in Europe (FAL ?) or Japan.

I'll have to look closer at the one I pulled from the FAT stock, (Not pictured above). That one looked close. That stock was passed to me from original owner of FAT Carbine from CMP.

I finally got the link to work for me (I Hate Windows 8). You are right it looks very close to the one that George is calling a post-war replacement.
