Another 1903/A3 cartouche question

Thanks to all for putting up with my photo posting problems and to Doug for getting my account straight, maybe I can get these finished photos up and they will no look like a dulcimer....









OK, enough photos, again I appreciate the good advice here, I feel like I uncovered the
mystery of the odd stamped number, the rifle is back to being a reasonable A3. It was worth the time and effort. I like the feel of the original '03 but the longer sight radius of this A3 feels better as I shoot iron sights. Nice rifle.
