A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Hello all,

I am looking to increase my knowledge of WWI and WWII weapons and the story behind them.

I collect rifles from both wars and looking to purchase BAYONET AND SCABBARD.

Hey!! Bob Webster here from NH. Just recently purchased a Husqvarna M 1907. It's in great shape but I'm sure I'll need info on it from time to time. Great site!!!

I seem to be more a 'horder' than a collecter but have a fair assortment of rifles [ martini henrys to no4/mk2 ] and a fair wack of bits and piecies to go with them. But- I hav'nt got enough ! I am trying to get imfo. on two interesting rear aperture sights I have . 1 - A martin that pins onto the rear sight bed of a mle or a ross and has verticle elevation adjustment [old] and 2 - a 'central emergency [ersatz ?] rear sight supposed to be fitted by Australianicon army for the 'volunteer defence corps ww11' on mle's etc . Can anyone help and / or point me to reference material ? thanks, Ian

    P1913/M1917 Bayonet

Greetings: I have just discovered your site and am delighted. I am about half way finished in writing a book on the subject bayonet. If you have information that goes beyond the widely available material, please contact me. Two items I have had trouble uncovering:
First - The contracted production amounts for the "VietNam" production in 1965 by GEN CUT and the Canadianicon Arsenal.
Second - The identities of the numbered inspectors for the Remington and Winchester plants.
If this is an area of interest for you and you would like to "talk", please contact me at usm1917@aol.com
    Looking to meet you, Dan

Hi. I discovered this forum while researching my 1911A1's history. I'm from Bloemfontein, South Africa and amongst other things a registered firearms collector.

    Greetings !

Hello everyone . I am happy to have found this site. I recently purchased a Norinco type 56 SKS and found a tremendous amount of info here that's proved very helpfull in dating this old rifle. I must say...I really love his old rifle....and I look forward to purchasing a few more in the near future. I also look forward to learning much from all of the well informed members here.

    Sincerly, Mitch
