    No, the Germans did not "bull" anything in WWI or WWII (not boots, leather or rifle furniture). In contrast, Enfields that had seen long usage are, apart from the usual "dings", worn smooth. And I do not mean with a build up of congealed oil. In a previous era, Germans perhaps treated woodwork differently. My Bavarian 1869 Werder is (except for the dings etc) immaculate.
