Windtalkers the movie with Nicholas Cage gives a reasonable insight to the methods adopted by the US army to defeat the Japanese, pity the never twigged the USA
was reading there so called un-crackable naval code for years.
But again the USA was caught Dec 7th 1941 by some very good tactics and had the carrier fleet been in harbour then perhaps WWII could have been different, in Yamamoto's words "I feel we have awakened a sleeping giant" very prophetic words as the P-38's hammered home the reply from that fateful day...........
Like I have said I feel no other nation could have fought a war on so many fronts and maintained production of war materials as the US did.
We in Australiahad our own stoush happening with the JIA in New Guinea the 39th saved the day inflicting the JIA with a rare defeat after a protracted battle the tide turned and eventually they were routed.
