Argentine Cavalry carbine and Engineers carbine

I fall off the wagon about once a month.
Here are the 1891 cavalry and engineer's carbine side by side.

I recently read a post lamenting the fact? that the engineer's carbine had the "junk" (bayo lug and different swivels) added onto the sweet lines of the cavalry carbine.
I am happy to have them both, even though the cavalry carbine has been sanded/polished
