I passed on the Encore after some research online and with some friends locally indicating that the design was not as accurate as a single shot rifle should be due to inconsistant head space. I do understand there is a pin that can be replaced to correct the problem. Not certain if your issue could be related to this one.

Accuracy wasn't an issue with the Encore I spoke of. In fact it rather exceeded my expectations, 5 shot groups averaged a bit less than 2'' at 100yds with a variety of factory loads and the best was 1.5'' with Remington 150gr CL's.
The problem was it left the factory with the wrong ejector assembly, the round shank was undersized and allowed the claw to slip past the rim of the case.
I got an e mail a little bit ago from the fellow that owned that Encore, he returned it to the shop where he bought it after getting the green weenie from T/C concerning the parts they promised to sent him. The shop owner then returned it to T/C for repairs, it hasn't been seen or heard from since. It was sent back in September 2013.
