Agreed, but it's not a new problem....

It's been going on as long as I can remember and it's one of the reasons we established our research and Knowledge Library site in the first place, recruiting published authors, as well as experienced and expert (aged like good wine) collectors such as yourself.

We've actually given serious consideration to having a section of the library for authenticated pieces, where owners can submit their collectible for best effort authentication and validation by our Advisory Panel, which then may be helpful to them in any future sale of it, or at least give them a "peace of mind" provenance while they own it.
