I tend to believe the mis-stamped therory too, but it's not a guaranteed thing either. The "1" has the normal Inland font you look for, but without more detailed pictures, it's hard to tell. Does anyone believe the stamped area in question looks to be through the finish and done recently? If the barrel is Inland, I can see it going for twice the current price of 580 and more maybe. It's a shame it has so many questions about it though. It has just enough of "been there, done that" look for me, which is important when I look at carbines.
