Hi Peter,
It is against the law to post any firearms ammunition in Australia
that includes primers and powders you can post empty cases and projies but nothing else that may contain explosives.
I once brought a full packet of 33 BSA shipped it from NSW to WA and I think it cost me about $55.oo AU for the courier service for a 10 round packet!. (You know our topography Peter we are the Wait A while State)
Our postal service like other parts of the world does x-ray items of interest and if they perchance come across your item either the Federal police or Customs will bash their way in one Sunday morning I would then lose all my guns and ammunition collection well in fact they would just take the lot and I would cop a really hefty fine & banned from ever owning firearms again the sender possibly suffer the same fate if a dealer they could definitely lose their license and their guns. Our firearm/ammunition laws in WA are very strict
So we live in a crushing regime that keeps enthusiasts shooters and collectors on a tight leash as for semi autos forget it and full autos are pink pigs flying south for summer..........
