1953 Romanian TTC Tokarev

Few days ago, I went to buy a Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless in .32 ACP that I had been eyeballing for a year. Saved up the money, bought it and I was bummed that I had to return it for reasons I prefer to keep to myself. But at least I found this gun for a more than reasonable price, so I exchanged it and got a lot of money back.

1953 Romanian military TTC Tokarev pistol in 7.62x25. I was very impressed when I tested the gun. It is an awesome shooter, and the cartridge is very powerful and fast. I was also surprised with the availability of ammo, both surplus and factory boxed, for cheap. I have never been interested in post WW2 military pistols, but I think I have been missing a lot of fun shooting these Soviet Bloc pieces. I think my next old Cold War gun will be a CZ52. It smells like the Cold War in here!





I really like the holster. It is exactly how I like them... Old, worn out and with character! I am only missing the cleaning rod.

Glad we have smart folks to keep us safe. I was looking at a very nice Brazilian mauser this past WE but only felt safe after I spotted the import mark.

The Tok is the better between it and the CZ52. Fits the hand better and it's stronger. Plus it's much easier to take apart for cleaning. You might think about getting a Makarov next.
