We must await Simon's deliberations, but I'm sure he won't find it. I've just had a look at numerous photographs kindly sent to me by an Australianpal of that rifle. As the seller admits it might be, it isn't right. For a start it doesn't even have any body pads (ever) fitted, & has been fitted with commercial mounts & scope. It is marked B 1942, not M47/C 1942 in reality, as one would expect. The engraving on the receiver side wall is also too large, & it bears an Aussie No1 Mk3* (H) T type cheekpiece.
Apart from that it's just dandy!
