Pretty much the same, 2"-3" high at 25 with the rear sight on '1-1.5' (100 to 150 yards. The thing is, all shots at 100 were expected to be about 6" high according to the 100 yard sighting target which was used at the depots after a rebuild, barrel or sight change. If you have a mil-spec carbine, the only way to change this is to install a taller front sight. I just go with it. I'll never have any tactical use for the carbine anyway. I have other things for that.

The 1953 edition of TM9-1276 (which I presume is the one you excerpted the target diagram from) is a terrible piece of technical writing. Having said that, according to the checklist and flow chart, only function firing was performed after rebuild. But the text jumbles up field maintenance, depot maintenance, repair, rebuild, return to stock, and return to user with no clear definitions so badly, almost anything is possible.

My best guess at what they were trying to say is that rebuilds for return to stock were not to be targeted. What is certain is that some portion were not to be targeted (it's just iffy on what fell into that class).

I also have doubts about the 100 yd. target diagram when comparing it to the 25 yd. target on the previous page. Can a round hit 12" high at 100 yds. yet be no higher than 3" high at 25 yds.? Wouldn't that only happen in zero gravity?
