Mauser Stock Marks (Pre WWII)
Can anyone help me what Mauser does this mark belong to? There is a "sniper Argie" for sale online but I've never seen this stock mark, nor the metal circle, nor the capital single letter A...

Looks exactly like the stock cartouche and marking disk on a Model 1908 Brazilian
Mauser. There is a picture on page 69 in Mauser Military Rifles of the World 4th edition by Robert W.D. Ball. Can' t help you with the letter A.

Here you can find a picture of a Brazilian
Model 1908 Mauser bolt-action long rifle, calibre 7x57 manufactured by DWM in 1909 with what looks like the same stock cartouche and marking disk.
