S.& C. Handguard
Almost 2 years later I found an S. & C. hand guard to go with my S. & C. stock. Just need to do some color matching. John

Well I'm glad that handguard is going to a good home. I'm the other bidder that was up against you. I was looking to get it since I have a S&C U stock, although any P-U or M-U handguard is right for mine. Enjoy....it will look geat with yours.

Thanks 604, The S. & C. stocks that are known about are few and very far between. John

Sprague and Carlton stocks are Birch and they made thousands for IBM. Not a rare or hard to find stock.

I agree with SCB marked wood being plentiful, but how often do you see wood marked S&C or S&C U? My stock is a birch low wood with a super sharp UEF cartouche of the late style.

SC-B are not uncommon, but S. & C. are uncommon. The S. & C. marking being the very early Sprague & Carleton. The Carbine Club records only had one other reported about 2 years ago when I submitted the info sheet. Granted that doesn't mean others aren't out there, but it is a real good measuring tool. John
