The cut doesn't make it dangerous to shoot if that's what you're asking. It may affect the accuracy due to harmonics issues, etc.
A VZ24 according to Petersons in excellent condition is $600.00. In VG condition $450.00. Doubt it meets either standard with a duffle cut Good is $275.00 and is probably the best grade with a duffle cut.
I've been looking for a decently priced VZ24 with a lion crest for two years. Not many out there. Beat to heck and overpriced by the owners in general seems to be the standard. I've seen them but I'm not paying what they think they are worth in the condition they are in.Information
